ROCHFORD MOTORS OPEL SUPPORTS BALLYHAUNIS RFC WITH NEW GILBERT RUGBY BALLS
Rochford Motors, Main Opel Dealer in Ballyhaunis, demonstrating a strong commitment to local rugby, recently made a significant contribution to Ballyhaunis RFC. As part of the Drive the Passion programme by Opel Ireland, the dealership provided a set of rugby balls to the club during one of their Summer Tag Rugby sessions.
The handover event, held at the Ballyhaunis RFC grounds, saw many enthusiastic players and club members in attendance. Georgina Dee from Ballyhaunis RFC shared her appreciation: “We are incredibly grateful to Rochford Motors and Opel Ireland for this generous donation. These rugby balls will be a fantastic addition to our training equipment and will greatly benefit our players throughout the year. Thank you for your continued support!”
The donation ceremony was captured in a series of images, with credit for the photos going to ‘sportpics_by_ciara.’ The presence of numerous club members highlighted the strong community spirit at Ballyhaunis RFC.
This contribution aligns with Opel Ireland’s Drive the Passion initiative, which aims to support rugby clubs across the country by providing necessary equipment. Since its launch in late 2023, the programme has successfully collaborated with various clubs, enhancing grassroots rugby and fostering local talent.
